The pace of domestic AI video is seriously fast. One minute Seedance 2.0 is flooding everyone’s feed, the next another Chinese model pops up and ranks second globally. Honestly, this time last year when people talked about video generation, it was basically a handful of foreign companies taking turns at the top.
Now the leaderboard changes every few days, and the new entries are often domestic teams. I’ve done a batch of sample clips myself, and the biggest thing I’ve noticed is how much more usable it’s gotten—back then, you’d have to gacha-style re-roll a dozen times just to find one decent clip, but now the failure rate has dropped noticeably.
Leaderboard rankings are just for reference anyway; what really matters is how it feels when you throw it into your actual project. With this update pace from domestic teams, the next six months are gonna be wild.
