My Z Image Turbo setup was a total mess—looked like a spider web of wires. Every time I opened it, I had to hunt down which line went where. Tried Subgraph the other day, and it totally fixed my OCD.
It’s basically like wrapping components in frontend dev. Just select all the nodes you want to merge—usually the whole generation chain, except the external model inputs—then hit Subgraph, and ComfyUI automatically packs them into one node. Inside the subgraph editor, you pick which parameters to expose: Steps, Sampler, Scheduler, Denoise—click Expose and they get an input port on the outside. I also exposed width/height and batch size.
Now it’s just one clean node. I renamed it “Turbo Sampler.” Inside the subgraph, you can reorder the parameters too—positive prompt on top, negative below, seed above width/height—looks way cleaner. Hide any optional ones you don’t want to show. For demos, one block does the job, way more presentable than a screen full of spaghetti. If your UI looks different, make sure you’re on the latest version—I also turned on Modern Node Design.
