FLUX.1 Kontext has been getting a lot of buzz lately. The main selling point is that you take an image and add a sentence to modify it, rather than generating from scratch. What I care about most is how well it preserves the original image structure—when doing e-commerce images, the worst thing is changing the background and having the model’s face change along with it.

Has anyone here actually used it? When you modify a specific part, does the main subject stay stable, and do the edges get blurry?

I’m planning to use it to replace some manual masking work, but before I start taking on paid jobs, I want to hear some real feedback first. Don’t want to mess up when it counts.

Changing the local subject is pretty solid overall, edges get a tiny bit blurry sometimes.

for structure preservation I tested it on product shots, keeping the subject fixed and only swapping the background is the most stable, changing subject details actually drifts sometimes

I’ve hit that occasional edge blur too, one round of local inpaint usually saves it.
