FLUX.2 feels more like a controlled workflow now. You running it locally or on the cloud?

FLUX.2 feels like a big step from gacha-style re-rolling to a more controlled workflow. The controllability and structural understanding are noticeably more stable, generating images doesn’t rely on luck as much anymore. That brings up a real question: local or cloud? Local is nice because your data stays off the internet, you can slap on private LoRAs without worry, and batch generation doesn’t hurt the wallet.

Downside is this generation of models has a big appetite for VRAM—if your setup can’t keep up, you’ll either hit VRAM limits or crawl so slow it makes you question life. Cloud is hassle-free, fire it up whenever, no environment management, but the cost adds up over time for heavy use, and for sensitive projects, sending images out always feels sketchy.

My rule of thumb is: keep exploration, small batches, and private stuff local; batch deliveries and temporary spikes go to the cloud. What’s your main setup these days? Can your GPU handle FLUX.2?

I mainly run stuff locally—exploration and private stuff stays local for sure. I can just slap on LoRAs without worrying.

FLUX.2 is a total VRAM hog, my card runs it so slow it makes me question my life choices, I had to go cloud.

Batch delivery to the cloud makes sense, but I’d still worry about sensitive project images leaking out. Local is safer.
