Hunyuan's 3D generation model is gonna be at AICon Shanghai talking about high-fidelity and industrial deployment.

Saw there’s a talk at AICon Shanghai about Hunyuan 3D generation model, covering how they went from theory to practice to hit SOTA, pushing toward high fidelity and industrial-grade production.

For those of us doing concept art and assets, the big question is whether 3D generation can actually make it into a real production pipeline—there’s a world of difference between a slick demo and something you can ship. “Industrial-grade” is the real keyword here. I didn’t make it to the venue, so I can’t speak to the specifics, but the title clearly highlights “high fidelity” and “industrial practice” as the two main takeaways.

Honestly, if 3D generation can consistently spit out usable high-poly models or clean topology, that’d save a ton of man-hours going from concept to blockout. Anyone who went to AICon, come back and spill the tea on what was actually covered.

“Industrialization” sounds easy enough, but when you actually try to pull it off, it’s all about the topology.

If we can cut down on manual work going from concept to whitebox, that’d be sweet.

Anyone got any live feedback?

I swear, it’s always “looks great in the demo” but then it can’t even make it into the actual pipeline.

Same here, waiting for answers too.

messy topology and it won’t make it into the pipeline, that’s the real barrier
