Honestly kinda surprised a domestic model made it that high—a couple years ago I thought we were still way behind the top tier. But these past two years, a few Chinese companies have been catching up fast.

My field occasionally needs image generation, and I’ve been using the overseas ones. If domestic models really are catching up, the barrier to entry and costs might be lower, so it’s worth keeping an eye on.
