Just finished that Krea 2 ComfyUI tutorial, the style transfer and skin fix parts are worth checking out.

I followed a tutorial on Krea 2 for ComfyUI—this open-weight text-to-image model has been getting a lot of buzz lately. The video also ran the Turbo version, and compared Krea 2 head-to-head with Ideogram 4 across image quality, style diversity, text rendering, prompt adherence, and generation speed, to see if it can really hang with the top tier.

The two most useful parts for me were: one, they gave a ready-to-use style transfer workflow, and two, they showed how to fix common skin issues in Krea 2 outputs—that fake or plasticky look. Anyone making character assets knows that feeling when the skin is off and the whole image is ruined.

Overall, Krea 2 is pretty solid for an open-source model—worth checking out if you’re into local generation or playing with open models. Anyone who’s actually tested it, share your experience.

Yeah, there’s been a lot of talk about Krea 2 lately.

Skin’s messed up, whole image is ruined +1

I wanna see how this compares to Ideogram.

Open source being able to compete with top-tier stuff is still a bit of a stretch, right?

Is it demanding on VRAM to run locally?

Running the Turbo version locally, 12G can just about scrape by, the full version still needs 16G and up
