As someone who teaches art, this has a lot of potential for me — 3D modeling has always been the biggest hurdle for students. The tools are heavy, the learning curve is steep, so if you can get a rough model from just one image or a sentence, at least it cuts down on that “starting from zero” frustration.

Of course, what comes out is still far from being usable directly — it’s more like a starting point for students to tweak and build on. I’m all for using scaffolding, but you can’t skip the fundamentals. You just can’t train your sense of form purely through generation.
