The most annoying thing about making e-commerce images is Chinese text. Back in the day, all those image generation models would turn Chinese characters into a blurry mess—basically had to manually trace every word on the poster later.

Google’s Nano Banana Pro is all about generating images with Chinese text, and just for that, I’m itching to try it out ASAP. If the Chinese layout comes out correct straight away, I could save like half the work of tracing characters.

The name’s pretty goofy though—Nano Banana… but hey, as long as it works, I’m not picky. Gonna keep an eye out for an entry point to get in.

Same here, I’m staying cautious too. Chinese image generation tools have been hyped up for rounds already—I’ll wait until actual tests show they can consistently generate correct text before I get excited.

being conservative is right. short titles aren’t hard to nail, two lines of small text or long punctuated sentences are the real test
