Google Nano Banana Pro Launched, This Time Targeting Chinese Image Generation

Google just dropped Nano Banana Pro, and the main selling point is its Chinese text generation. I’ve seen people running hardcore tests with a bunch of examples. Chinese has always been a pain point for these models—especially when you need clean Chinese characters in the image, nine out of ten models turn them into messy scribbles.

If this version can actually handle Chinese text and context well, it’d be a game-changer for e-commerce product images, holiday posters, and other scenarios where you gotta cram Chinese copy in.

I’ll grab a few requests with slogans later and see if it really holds up.

If the Chinese text-to-image output is actually stable, I’ll be the first to jump in.

Banana, man, every time I see that name I crack up :joy:

I keep getting rejected by Chinese characters every day when making product detail pages. I just need something reliable for once.

Where did you see the actual test results? I wanna follow up.

First row, waiting for the results.

Is Google serious with this naming?

Yeah, Chinese text generation is still a huge pain in the ass.

+1 for detail pages, Chinese long-sentence layout’s always been a pain, if it’s actually stable I’m switching right now
