Skin looking too plastic? This skin detailer workflow actually works, I've tested it myself.

The most annoying thing about making AI influencer faces is the rubbery skin. Flux and SDXL faces look okay from afar, but zoom in and it’s all plastic texture. This workflow is specifically for fixing that—core two-piece set: a skin realism LoRA, followed by a dedicated skin detail upscaler (1x ITF SkinDiffDetail Lite, note it’s 1x, doesn’t change resolution, just adds detail).

Base model is Juggernaut XL v7, put it in checkpoints, LoRA in loras, upscaler in upscale_models. If you drag the workflow in and see red nodes, use Manager to install missing ones. Key step is using MaskEditor to paint over the skin areas you want to enhance—don’t just slap it over the whole face. For denoise, I’d start at 0.16, common range is 0.05 to 0.3, higher means more changes, but too high and the face won’t look like the same person. Generate two images: left one with just the LoRA, right one with LoRA plus upscaler, you can swipe left/right with your mouse to compare. If you do portrait work, save this setup.

1x upscaler that doesn’t change resolution, just adds detail—pretty clever design.

Plastic skin is a common problem, even Flux couldn’t escape it.

No shortcuts when painting the mask—if you just slap it over the whole face, you’re guaranteed to mess up.

Juggernaut v7 is still holding up pretty well.

The left-right swipe comparison on those before/after images feels really smooth.
