Yo, is Stable Diffusion 3.5 finally making a comeback or what?

I’ve been using SD 3.5, and saying it’s a total comeback is a stretch, but saying there’s no improvement isn’t fair either. Compared to 3.0, which got roasted for being an anatomy disaster, 3.5 actually fixed a lot of the body structure issues and multi-subject conflicts, and the prompt adherence is way more obedient.

But the ecosystem is what really matters. SD has lasted this long because of the massive library of LoRAs and ControlNet. 3.5’s ecosystem is still growing, and a lot of plugin support hasn’t caught up yet. Switching over means giving up a ton of existing assets. For now, I’m sticking with 1.5 and XL as my main tools, keeping 3.5 on the sidelines to see how the ecosystem develops. I’ll wait until the LoRA count picks up before making the move.

3.5’s hands are way better than 3.0, back on 3.0 I’d get six fingers and I couldn’t even be bothered to complain.

You hit the nail on the head with the ecosystem issue. After I migrated, I found out all the ControlNet models I usually use need to wait for compatibility updates.

I’m still maining XL for now, gonna let 3.5 sit on the backburner until the community builds up a good LoRA stack.
