There are tons of AI cartoonization tools out there, but don't mix avatar stuff with branding work.

There are tons of AI cartoonization tools out there, but don’t ever use the same workflow for avatars and brand work. Avatars are just for fun—pick any style you want, exaggerate facial features, slap on heavy filters, whatever. Users just want something entertaining and meme-worthy.

Brand images are a whole different beast—they need to be reproducible, come in a full set (emotes, merch, different poses), with a consistent and restrained style. You also have to think about scaling up for print without losing quality and making sure the copyright is licensable.

When I do cartoonization for brands, I always train a custom LoRA to lock down the style and character traits—never use those one-click filters. Mix them up, and you’ll eventually mess up on consistency.

Brands train their own LoRAs to lock in style and characters. That one-click filter really can’t handle a full set of outputs.

The client wants a consistent brand look for profile pics, but also wants to have fun with it—those are two completely different needs, don’t mix them up.

Waiting for real-world test results.
