Saw that 53AI post with the headline about Sora 2’s three innovations supposedly “completely restructuring” some industry. The article probably goes into what those three are, but I just want to riff on that topic here.
Words like “disruption” and “restructuring” are getting seriously devalued these days—they pop up every other week. But hype aside, this wave of video generation is genuinely changing how some jobs work, especially on the content production side. As for “completely restructuring” an entire industry, I’m usually skeptical—no matter how powerful the tool, you’ve still got real-world friction, industry inertia, compliance, and all that.
Curious what you all think—what specific link in the chain do you think video generation will actually change first? Don’t say “the whole industry,” just name one specific role or workflow.
