Yo, heard Sora 2 is coming, they say it's gonna shake up the whole industry. Gotta wait and see.

Cover News slapped a “deep” label on it, Sora 2 is coming to shake up the AI industry. I always take “shake up” with a grain of salt—until the actual capabilities are released, it’s all just clickbait.

What I care about more is the API and ecosystem. The first generation was pretty limited in terms of openness; if you’re building apps and can’t hook into it, you’re just watching from the sidelines. If the second gen has a friendly API and competitive pricing, then it’s actually useful for those of us who want to integrate video generation into our products. Just seeing a flashy demo doesn’t mean squat—it’s about whether it can handle stable generation and concurrent loads. Anyone with inside info, spill the tea, don’t just shout “shake up.”

“Disruption” is just a buzzword, don’t take it too seriously.

The real question is whether they’ll open up the API or not. Otherwise we’re just stuck here twiddling our thumbs.

Demo looks great, but when it’s time to actually ship, it’s a total trainwreck.

Damn, that’s sick.

First gen is always like this — the launch event makes it look god-tier, but in reality you use it twice and it collects dust. Once it actually lands, it’s nothing but pitfalls.
