Yo, so ByteDance's Jimeng 2.0 vs Kuaishou's Kling 3.0 - which one's actually the real deal for domestic video models this round?

Saw Tencent News doing a comparison test between ByteDance’s Jimeng 2.0 and Kuaishou’s Kling 3.0. These two are basically the top tier for domestic video models right now. Thought I’d start a thread to hear everyone’s real-world experience with them.

I’ve signed up for both and been messing around, but I’m not jumping to any absolute conclusions. Everyone’s feeding different prompts and working on different subjects, so judging from a few comparison shots alone, it’s hard to say one completely crushes the other. Wanted to ask the long-time users: which one do you mainly use for generating clips? Do you care more about motion coherence, control over the first and last frames, or is it purely about generation speed and queue times?

My vague impression is that Kling feels more solid with complex camera moves, while Jimeng seems more appealing for certain stylized themes. But that’s totally subjective—swap the prompt and the verdict might flip. So don’t take my word for it, share your actual experiences.

Also, there’s the real-world issue of pricing and quotas. Both are iterating pretty fast, so today’s conclusions might be outdated in two months.

Kling’s camera movement is really solid, but Jimeng tends to drift sometimes.

Don’t just trust the official demos — the gap is huge when you actually feed your own prompts.

Both sides are iterating like crazy. Honestly, the shelf life of any conclusion is way too short.
