Yo, so the world model race? Tencent's Hunyuan just rolled up and took the top spot.

Saw a post from Zhicheng Community saying Tencent’s Hunyuan topped the leaderboard in the world model space. The title didn’t specify which leaderboard or what metrics, so I’m not gonna make up numbers—just noting the trend here.

Combine this with Guo Chunchao’s recent comment about “it’s hard to really get into industrial production with just video,” and it’s pretty interesting: on one hand, they’re saying there’s still a gap between video and world models, on the other, their own team’s climbing the charts. Shows the big players are really betting on this direction, and their approach might be different from the usual “pure video-driven” path everyone assumes.

World model is a hot but loosely defined term right now—different teams have wildly different interpretations and evaluation standards. So when I see “top of the leaderboard,” I always ask: which leaderboard, what task, and compared to who? If anyone’s got more details, feel free to chime in—don’t just look at the ranking.

They didn’t even say what ranking or what metrics they’re using, so “topping the charts” is pretty meaningless.

Big companies are definitely dumping resources into this direction.

Replying to the guy above, yeah, that’s exactly why I’m trying to chase down the aperture. Just one ranking doesn’t give you enough info.

Bumping this — finally some reasonable takes in here.

Waiting for the leaderboard details :eyes:

Hey man, I’ve been messing around with ComfyUI lately and I’m trying to figure out the best way to use Flux. I’ve seen some people say you need to max out your VRAM, but I’m only running 8G. Any tips on getting decent results without it crashing? Also, what’s the deal with prompts for Flux? Do you need to be super detailed like with MJ, or can you keep it simple?
